For hoisting, lifting or conveying our hoist chains, lifting means and conveying systems are a guarantee of quality, innovation and safety.

We manufacture long-life non-skid chains with highly innovative fitting systems for safe driving on snow and icy roads and even in arduous ground applications.

1875 - Carl Rieger and Friedrich Dietz founded the company.	1906 - First company to introduce electric arc welding for manufacturing chain links.	1910 - First non-skid tire chains for vehicles.
1935 - Development of RUD track chain, the forerunner of all track chains in use today.	1939 - Setting up of the "RUD-Hilife" social foundation, responsible for today's benefit payments.	1945 - Construction of the high-grade quality chain manufacturing plant.
1950 - Introduction of the Employees' Profit-Sharing Scheme.	1965 - Development of the first non-skid chains without inner hooks and with continuous side chains.	1982 - RUD develops the first flat mining connector with tensile strength and technical properties conformed to the chain.
2001 - RUD is the first German manufacturer to be certified to the Environment Management System Standard ISO 14001.
